Give time to yourself

About a month ago I was watching a monk talk about awareness and how we are always being distracted or choosing to be and not spending time on us, alone time. He highlighted a scenario about a man taking a dog for a walk and the man classed this as alone time, but the monk said no this is a man distracting himself with the dog walking; another example is when someone takes themselves of running again a distraction of running. The monk asked,

“When have you truly spent time on yourself? Being aware of your mind and body?”

These are two very good question that most of us in the western world would answer never or not enough; for me the answer was never up until very recently.

So two nights ago I was learning about frequencies and vibrations and in particular 528hz which is a tone/ vibration that is known to cure DNA and illness. Another frequency is known as the body’s/ earths natural tone and that is 432hz a lot of classical music is played in this frequency.

On this night I decided to play some music that concentrated on the 528hz as I had a touch of a cold and felt tired after work. I then incorporated some deep breathing with relaxation techniques by squeezing different parts of the body starting from the feet to the face, I mentioned this in an earlier blog talking about my anger, it truly is a fantastic relaxing method.

I concentrated on my breathing, body and being grateful for about 40 minutes, I felt great afterwards.

The day before this I downloaded the Wim Hof method app and in one of the short tutorials he said how important it was to listen to your body and don’t over push it, I mention it because I was aware of my cold and just didn’t feel like doing the cold shower I gave myself a break for two days and had normal showers, they were good.

So after my, me time two days ago I believed that I helped fight the cold, last night I did not want to go for a run after work but my wife motivated me to go and have a run; I felt great afterwards, then had another run today followed by a cold shower, feeling good, thank you, thank you and thank you.
