Mindfulness in UK schools

Fantastic news that over 300 schools in the UK are introducing mindfulness for mental wellness into the classrooms. Just started this blog after listening to Wim Hof say it’s incredible that we can send rockets to the moon and create wonderful technology but we don’t teach our children happiness, strength and good health. Starting at primary age it’s great that children are being tought how to relax through different techniques and talk about their feelings. Cold showers and breathing

Cold showers first thing in the morning at the end of January leading into February, madness?! I know. This is what I have been doing and I look forward to cold showers, now don’t get me wrong they’re not ice cold yet and I’m not ready to jump into an ice cold bath, but they are getting colder that’s for sure and I am staying in longer. Well I have been watching for a couple of days videos about Wim Hof method and my initial thoughts are wow total respect to the man himself and to the people that are doing this method. The title is from what Wim Hof, the ice man says this is also what I believe and many others believe. We are creators of our own lives. It is very easy to join in a conversation were the subject matter is negative or complaining about a situation. Twenty second hug

I watched or read somewhere about a 20 second hug and so I tried it, it claims to make you feel good and it’s true. Most people only his for about 1 to 3 seconds but that’s almost going through the motion. I have witnessed the experience of the twenty second hug, if someone is feeling down give them a hug and do it for the said time and you will feel happy as will they. Thank you, thank you, thank you; so very important to me is to be constantly appreciative of everything in my life, when I walk to work I say thank you with each step, I then think of happy thoughts whilst I walk, it is affirmation behaviour to change our default mind setting this is why I do it and in return I feel positive about the up and coming day ahead.
